一、编写说明

(一)本课程的性质、地位和作用

本课程是五年一贯制初等教育专业英语方向学生进入专科段的专业必修课,是所有专业课中的核心课程。本课程旨在传授系统的语言基础知识(语音、语法、词汇、语言功能和篇章结构)和进行听、说、读、写、译基本技能的训练,培养学生运用英语进行交际的综合能力。在进行语言知识技能训练的同时,培养学生良好的学习策略和方法,形成较为完善的心理品质和积极健康的人生态度,具有较高的跨文化交际的意识和能力,为他们终生的学习和今后的工作打下扎实的基础。《综合英语》课程安排两个学年,分四个学期开设。具体教学要求如下:全面发展英语语言运用能力,但在不同学习阶段侧重点不同。第12学期侧重听说,兼顾读写,第34学期侧重读写,兼顾听说,每学期均应补充有较大量的翻译练习。为更好地与高中教材衔接,与学生的实际情况(重语法知识学习,重笔头练习)衔接,在专科学习段的前一半时间应加强语音、对话、听力、口语的训练量,然后逐渐加大阅读和笔头练习的量。在这个过程中,对语言的控制逐步减少,加强了对学生创造力的发挥。 要求学生逐步从有控制的练习过渡到自然的交际,最终达到听、说、读、写等语言技能及其他各项语言运用能力的均衡发展。鉴于本系学生的特点及本专业课程安排的具体情况,我们认为初等教育英语方向的学生在语言专业知识的要求方面可略低于其他方向的英语专业专科段的要求,但我们会在教学过程中增添一些有关儿童的文学作品,如童话剧,童话故事等方面的内容以形成初等教育的特色和培养小学英语教师的特质。

 

(二)本大纲制定的依据

培养具有较高学历的小学教师是我国社会主义现代化建设和基础教育事业发展的迫切需要,也是我国师范教育改革发展的必然趋势。面向小学的英语专业教师的培养还是一个新生事物,它和其他类型的英语教师有着共同的特点,但更有着自己独特的内涵和外延,因此,高等教育小学教育英语专业的培养目标,新一轮英语课程改革的思想就成为我们制定该大纲的重要依据。同时还考虑到学生入校的具体情况:学生进入专科段时应具有相当于高中毕业的水平,掌握基本的语音语法知识,认知单词约2800个(掌握其中约1500个单词的基本用法),并具有听、说、读、写、译的初步技能。结合以上内容,我们制定本大纲以使我们的教学更具针对性,努力打造具有较高学历的符合新时代发展要求的小学英语教师。

 

(三)大纲内容选编原则与要求

1、考虑学生已有的语言知识、技能和生活经验,配合阅读、写作、语音、语法等课程共同完成本课程的学习。

2、选编内容时更重要的出发点是通过较大量的语言实践为学生打下坚实的语音、语法、词汇等语言知识及听、说、读、写的语言技能。

3、大纲分别从语言知识和实践训练两个方面进行设计。

4、大纲内容考虑到英语教学改革的基本精神和语言学习的先进理念。

5、大纲关注到初等教育的特色和小学英语教师的特质。

(四)实践环节

语言学习的实践主要有以下表现形式

1、最主要最基本的训练是日常课堂教学。教师必须坚持“精讲多练”的原则,尽可能为学生创造更多的练习机会,创造近乎真实的情景,发挥师生互动,生生互动,双人、小组等练习模式的作用,表演对话课文内容,表演童话故事,童话剧等。在实践中学习语言,在实践中运用语言。

2、各种形式的课外活动,如:英语晚会、英语角、英语沙龙等。

3、直接与外籍人士交流,共事;参加一些外事活动等。

(六)考核方法与要求

1、平时成绩:包括出勤、课堂提问、讨论实践情况、课堂作业,占30%

二、教学内容纲要

教学内容以语法结构为基础。主要的语法结构有规律地循环加深,并在有一定情景的上下文中出现。每一单元有一至两篇知识性与趣味性相结合的阅读材料,并伴有大量的启发式口、笔头练习;两片对话,一篇以语言结构、情节和题材为重点,另一篇以语言功能为重点。

本课程在教学内容选择和安排上遵循以下几个主要原则:1、全面考虑、合理评价当前我国英语教学的实际情况。2、兼顾传统英语教学法和当代英语教学法中某些观点。3、把握好准确性与流利性之间的关系以及语言能力与交际能力之间的关系,不顾此失彼。4、综合训练听、说、读、写四项基本语言能力, 并使用翻译练习。5、以学生为主,但又不忽视教师作为语言学习指导者和促进者的作用。6、两年四个学期将完成《新编英语教程》A New English Course 1,2,3册中45个单元的内容。
